Recommended Refrigerator Service When Replacing Filter

Replacing your water filter every 6 months serves as the primary reminder to complete routine maintenance on your refrigerator. Dust and debris collect on the back condenser coils over time, which restricts airflow, causes the compressor to run hotter, and increases electrical energy consumption. Additionally, internal water lines and ice dispenser valves require periodic inspection to prevent mineral scaling and ensure proper water pressure. Whenever you install a fresh water filter, we strongly recommend booking a full refrigerator service. Servicing your fridge involves cleaning condenser coils, checking magnetic door gaskets for proper sealing, clearing drain lines, and verifying internal temperatures. Taking these preventive steps protects your compressor, prevents costly repairs, and significantly extends the lifespan of your appliance.
